The PhD dissertation of Dr Dennie van Dolder (NIBS Research Fellow) has been nominated for the 18th Christiaan Huygens Science Award. The jury for the Award is made up of members of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dennie says "Basically it is a dissertation award that is presented in a different discipline that Christiaan Huygens excelled in each year. It is awarded to a researcher whose doctoral dissertation has made an innovative contribution to a specified discipline. Every five year the discipline is economics. The award this year is thus for researchers who defended their doctoral dissertation in the field of economics between 1 January 2010 and 1 January 2015". The presentations will take place on 24 June 2015 at the ‘Oude Kerk’, Herenstraat 77, 2271 CC Voorburg. NIBS and CeDEx colleagues would like to wish Dennie the best of luck.
