NIBS PhD student, Sidney Sherborne (Warwick) took a secondment at the Department for Work and Pensions from 1 October to 31 December 2020. He was placed in the Impact and Reporting Team, working on impact assessments of work programmes designed to get people on benefits into work and self-employment.

Sid says, "It has been difficult at times due to the challenges of working remotely and learning a new coding language and method of data storage, but despite this it has been useful and insightful. I am currently undertaking their SAS Programming course and I am sure that I will use the things I have learned from it in future".
