The Birmingham Experimental Economics Laboratory (BEEL) is hosting a PhD Decision-Making Workshop at the University of Birmingham on 8 & 9 October 2015.  NIBS Co-Investigator, Professor Graham Loomes from the University of Warwick, will be one of the keynote speakers (with Professor Arno Riedl from Maastricht University the other keynote).

"This two day workshop seeks to bring together PhD students using experimental methods to better understand human decision making processes and their potential policy impact. The conference will feature a number of keynote presentations by distinguished academics and a plenary panel discussion featuring both academics and non-academics focusing on how such research can inform and influence policy. As such, it should be of interest to PhD students studying experimental/behavioural economics, psychology and neuroscience."

PhD students in any field, in particular economics, psychology and neuroscience, using experimental methodology to study human decision making processes are invited to submit by Friday 17th July 2015. To submit, please email either a paper or an extended abstract (maximum 2 pages) to beel.phd.events@gmail.com including the name of the presenter and any co-authors, your affiliation and a contact email address.

The event is hosted by the Birmingham Experimental Economics Laboratory (BEEL) and has received funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). Funding is available to provide accommodation on the night of Thursday 8th October for those presenting at the workshop.
